Gumboot Friday Tea has raised more than $76,000 for I Am Hope. That is an incredible effort from a business that has consistently found practical, thoughtful ways to back our rangatahi.
Tea With a Purpose
A few years ago, the team at Health Pak wanted to create something that could support I Am Hope all year round, while also encouraging more open conversations around youth mental health.
So they did what they do best.
They made tea.
Gumboot Friday Tea is a quality black tea with plastic and foil free packaging, and 10% of every sale goes directly towards supporting I Am Hope and Gumboot Friday.
But the impact goes beyond the amount raised.
This tea has also helped bring youth mental health into everyday spaces, with more than 126,000 cups of Gumboot Tea shared. That is more than 126,000 small moments where a conversation could begin.
More Than Just a Cuppa
A cup of tea will not solve everything.
But it can create a moment. A pause. A check-in. A chance to ask someone how they are really doing. Sometimes a simple “you alright?” can be the start of someone getting the support they need.
