As part of their Mental Health Week Events, some of the boys of Kings College decided to make a statement, something bold to show that they care about mental health and want to start conversations about it.
They set themselves a challenge: if they could raise over $5,000 for I Am Hope from their Lads & Dads Breakfast event (with Mike as the guest speaker), they’d shave their heads.
Well… they didn’t just reach the target — they smashed it, raising over $8,000!
On August 1st 2025, the boys made good on their word. As a crowd of students watched and cheered on, these epic boys got a buzz cut (and even managed to convince a teacher to join in!)
A huge shoutout to Ben, the Year 13 crew who organised this very cool event, and every student who took part. You’ve not only raised funds for youth mental health, but also shown the power of starting conversations about it.
You’re absolute legends.
